2. Local browser assessment
The mafinka assessment is processed locally in the visitor's browser.
Answers are not transmitted to us, not stored on our servers, not linked to an identifiable person and not used to create user profiles.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO. When the site is accessed, technically necessary access data may be processed by the hosting provider to deliver and secure the website. This can include IP address, date and time, requested page, browser information, operating system, referrer URL, transferred data volume and access status.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: reliable and secure operation of this website.
4. No registration, no user profiles, no assessment database
At this MVP stage, mafinka has no user accounts, login, database for assessment answers or server-side result storage. The result is calculated client-side from the selections made in the browser.
5. Cookies and tracking
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. This website shows no cookie banner because none is required: technically necessary local storage is used only to remember your language preference.
6. External services
Assessment answers are not sent to external AI providers, analytics tools, CRM tools, newsletter systems or payment providers in this MVP version.
7. Newsletter and email updates
If you voluntarily request mafinka email updates, we process the email address and the consent text you provide only for the purpose of sending parent-safety updates and related mafinka product information. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
The signup form requires an unchecked consent box. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@mafinka.de. Requests are sent by email to mafinka and are not automatically added to a third-party mailing system.
Before automated newsletter sending goes live, mafinka should use a double-opt-in process and update this privacy policy with the newsletter provider, retention period and unsubscribe mechanism.
8. Web analytics with Plausible Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to understand website usage in aggregated form, including whether visitors start the safety check, complete it, or show interest in email updates.
Plausible does not use cookies and does not create personal user profiles. It is not used to track individual visitors across websites.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving and safely developing this MVP offer under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

9. Future functionality
Future optional functionality may include user profiles, notifications about platform changes, new risk patterns or prevention tips. If introduced, this policy will be updated before those functions go live.
10. Your rights
Under GDPR, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to a data protection authority.
